THE SITUATION NOW

its an economy of mass consumption
in a culture of self destruction
and all we want is an erection
no time to think of the election
I'm too busy getting busy
I wanna rock out with my cock out
I don't wanna have to think about
anything important
and they know that
and they feed that
and they prey upon our inconvenience
and count upon our apathy
they say it's just coincidence
and that we shouldn't worry
but the books are burning
in the public school halls
and the cops aren't returning
any of our frantic foolish calls
and they've left us defenseless
half-naked, starved and senseless
but that is the think tank consensus
of how best to keep us free
free to be exploited
cannon fodder for the annointed
soldier or serf our choices
as the big guns drown out our voices
so they can better hear the noises
of the clinking champagne glasses
as the upper classes
toast the unwashed masses
for being such ignorant asses
just begging to be kicked
