About My Comments On Your Work

Class is now in session
this is an important lesson
of which I'll make no further mention
may I have your full attention
the sound of one hand clapping
of course it's just me slapping
your face towards the mirror
as the words you need to hear
knock your head out of the cloud
kick your ass out of the crowd
quell your aggitation
with a simple explanation
of expedient revelation
you are your own salvation
I'm just here to lend a hand
to help you understand
how best to till this land
and express to us a demand

"here is my word
I will be heard!"

you think you've excelled
but your word was mis-spelled
and you say they don't get it
they just want to forget it
you think they missed the point
they think you disappoint
to express to us your vision
you need another revision
perhaps a questionable decision
to reveal an insightful incision
cut to the very heart of the matter
dropped from heights illusions shatter
though its something we all seek
most rarely take that peak
to be certain I do know
I've only reached a plateau
but I'll gladly help you up
are you thirsty? here's my cup
